IDA Sports Releases Limited-Edition Breast Self Pack, in Partnership with Know Your Lemons®, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Speciality colorway now available at IDASports.com and at Dick’s Sporting Goods
NEW YORK (Sept. 17, 2024) — With Breast Cancer Awareness month on the horizon, IDA Sports has released its first-ever Breast Self Pack, a line that will bring awareness to breast health while also raising money for Know Your Lemons®, a non-profit that provides educational resources for the goal of early detection.
As part of the partnership with Know Your Lemons, $10 of every pair purchased from the Breast Self Pack will be donated back to the foundation to expand the conversations around breast health, to support early detection and to better understand our bodies.
Offered in IDA’s signature Rise line of women’s specific cleats, the Breast Self Pack unveils a new colorway option for both the Rise Elite and Rise Turf styles. The cleats are designed with a clean, white base color, highlighted by pops of the familiar Breast Cancer Awareness pink on the laces, inside of the heel and studs. A hand drawn illustration of breasts of all sizes and shapes is featured on both styles, celebrating the uniqueness and beauty in every body type.
Developed for speed and ball control, the Rise line features WAVEKNIT technology, lightweight materials and a built-in sock, allowing for a snug fit with ultimate agility. The Rise Elite's stud length and conical stud shape make it the cleat ideal for both firm ground and 3G artificial grass surfaces, while Rise Turf includes a specialized rubber sole, suitable for 2G and 3G artificial grass surfaces.
“At IDA, what we do is always about ‘more than a shoe’ and we are very excited to launch our Breast Self Pack, a product that will have just as much of an impact off the field as it does on the field,” said IDA Sports Co-Founder and CEO Laura Youngson. “We’re thankful for our partnership with Know Your Lemons, who know conversations need to go beyond pink products and awareness, to be all encompassing of breast health issues and bodily knowledge. Education equals action, and at IDA we are always grateful to have this opportunity to show up for and give back to women.”
"We're so happy to have the partnership of a company like IDA Sports, that is dedicated to doing more than a pinkwashing campaign," said Dr. Corrine Ellsworth-Beaumont, founder and CEO of Know Your Lemons. "IDA Sports is demonstrating their commitment to women, and women's health, by turning breast cancer awareness into action with their support of our campaign."
The Breast Self Pack is now available on IDASports.com and at Dick’s Sporting Goods nationwide, retailing for $159.99 (Rise Elite) and $119.99 (Rise Turf). IDA will celebrate the release in New York at Brooklyn FC's USL Super League match on Oct. 11, which will also be the club's "Pink Game".
